2. Reduce
Celtic Chauffeur Services – using public transport, encouraging travellers to take reusable water bottles, and minimising the number of trips included in our itineraries. In our offices, we recycle waste and have introduced efficiency measures including energy efficient light bulbs, digital conferencing and conservation of water.
3. Offset
We offset our carbon emissions by purchasing carbon credits associated with a range of renewable energy projects. We have
identified six key international projects that we will purchase carbon credits with from 2018-2022. Our carbon offset projects include Gold
Standard and Verified carbon standard certified projects, which bring additional economic, social, and environmental benefits, including
habitat and biodiversity protection
Responsible Sustainability marketing
Everything we do is aimed at reducing our impact on the Island of Ireland. We know we have a lot to do and this is just the start, but we are committed to having a positive impact on the environment, the communities we visit and maintaining an amazing guest experience. – A paperless administrative policy
Supporting Biodiversity
We support local and regional projects aimed at tackling biodiversity loss. Buying fewer products and making sure the products we buy minimise the impact on biodiversity. Investing in ways that promote biodiversity. Reducing waste of consumer goods: food, clothes, electrical appliances, etc.
Our Sustainability Program focuses on:
1. Energy Conservation
Reduce our Energy use in 2024 and reduce carbon emissions through investment in hybrid vehicles. By adopting Eco-Friendly driving practices, we endeavour to maintain a consistent driving speed, avoiding sudden accelerations and harsh braking, while taking the most fuel-efficient
routes. The use and future purchase of Hybrid vehicles in 2024 will allow the business to drive down consumption and reliance on fossil fuels thus reducing our carbon footprint.
2. Elimination of use of non-reusable plastics and chemicals
Encourage the use of reusable coffee cups, the use of eco-friendly car washes and using eco-riendly cleaning products. Eliminate plastic water bottles and replacing with fully recycled glass bottles. Operate a paperless administrative policy.
3. Waste Management
To reduce and recycle all business and customer waste and limit waste that goes to landfill.
4. Sustainable Procurement and product usage
To continue to promote local coffee shops, restaurants, accommodation, chauffeurs, visitor attractions, and tour operators to those with an active Environmental Policy and sourcing local produce where applicable.
5. Community Social Responsibility
Create local employment. To communicate our performance and achievements through the Celtic Chauffeur website.
6. Water Consumption
Reduce our water consumption by 10% in 2024
Use a bucket of water to wash cars and no hose in the future
Celtic Chauffeur Service are committed to supporting these goals to demonstrate that
sustainability is important and should be prioritised in the transport industry.
